The Woman Behind the Lens

Thank you so much for taking the time to be here - it truly means more than you know. I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 5th, 1997 (yes, proudly team Aries). Shortly after, my family moved to Brooklyn, New York, where I attended kindergarten before settling in Central Florida in July of 2003 - a place that has felt like home ever since. I am deeply family-oriented, joy-driven, and fueled by a lifelong passion for sharing light with others. Outside of photography, I work full-time as an educator at the very high school I once attended, where I assist students with special needs - a role that has shaped my patience, empathy, and appreciation for human connection in ways I carry into every aspect of my life. I am also a musician and vocalist, having sung for as long as I can remember, and I recently released my debut album called "Mosaic" out on all streaming platforms, under the name "tina bridge."  Being able to express creativity through both music and photography is something I hold close to my heart.   

     My love for capturing moments began early. As a child, I documented everything with my pink Barbie webcam and Nintendo DSI (a true throwback), determined to preserve every laugh, gathering, and fleeting memory. I was eventually gifted my first “real” camera in middle school - and from that moment on, it rarely left my side. Throughout adolescence and high school, I was often teased for taking “too many pictures,” but deep down, I always believed those images would one day matter. As time passed and moments inevitably slipped into memory, I began to understand just how fragile and irreplaceable they truly are. Our surroundings change, people grow, seasons shift - and photographs become tangible reminders of who we were and what we held dear.     

     In August of 2017, I officially began my photography business - initially as a way to save money for driving lessons (since I never learned to drive!). What started as a practical goal quickly evolved into something far greater. With the unwavering support of my clients, friends, and family, I began photographing small events, portraits, and couples. After the pandemic in 2020, my work expanded to include weddings, engagements, maternity sessions, and lifestyle photography -  each one deepening my love for this craft. Over the years, I’ve come to value emotion over perfection and presence over posing. While posed images certainly have their place, I believe the most meaningful photographs are rooted in feeling - the unscripted moments you don’t realize are happening until you look back and feel them in your soul. Early on, I carried the pressure of needing everything to be “picture-perfect,” knowing these images would live on long after the moment passed. But I’ve learned that authenticity is far more powerful than perfection.     

     I have always been someone who notices beauty in the quiet details: the way someone’s eyes sparkle when they laugh, how their smile naturally forms, the way they light up in the presence of the people they love. My goal is to preserve that essence. It’s one thing to smile for a camera, and another to be truly seen - and that is what I strive for every time I press the shutter. I am endlessly grateful for the trust my clients place in me and for the opportunity to document their stories. Photography has never felt like work to me; it has always felt like purpose. I pour my heart into every session, and I promise that care, passion, and intention will be reflected in every image I deliver.
