Photo Session FAQ's!
What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?
That’s completely normal - most of my clients say this at first. My approach is relaxed and intuitive, with gentle guidance rather than stiff posing. You don’t need to know what to do - I’ll guide you every step of the way.
Do you help with posing?
Yes, but in a natural, movement-based way. I’ll offer direction that feels comfortable and easy, allowing moments to unfold organically rather than forcing anything. Sometimes I will even show pictures if I can't get the words out!
What should we wear?
I recommend neutral tones, earth tones, and pieces you feel comfortable moving in. You’ll find a full “What to Wear” guide here on my website, and I’m always happy to help you choose outfits if you’re unsure.
Where do sessions take place?
Most sessions take place outdoors in natural light throughout Central Florida. I’m happy to suggest locations based on the look and feel you’re drawn to, or we can shoot somewhere meaningful to you.
How long is a session?
Most sessions last between 20-30 minutes, depending on the type of session. This allows plenty of time to settle in, move naturally, and capture a variety of moments without feeling rushed. However, we may get all necessary shots in even less time! That doesn't have a negative connotation - that just means you nailed all of your shots quickly!
When will we receive our photos?
You can expect your full gallery within 1-2 weeks, although 90% of the time, it is within a few days to a week.
Do you travel?
Yes - I love documenting stories in meaningful places. Travel within a certain mileage in Central Florida is included, and destination sessions are always welcome. Additional travel fees may apply depending on distance.
What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
If weather conditions aren’t ideal, we’ll reschedule at no additional cost. Florida weather is unpredictable, and flexibility is always part of the process. I also offer a re-shoot option if the sun doesn't come out during our session and it is deemed as a "gloomy" day, since I advertise for those sunny, warm, golden tones!
