About Me
The Full Story
Hi! I'd like to personally thank each and every one of you for taking time out of your day to visit my webpage. I was born in Charlotte, NC on April 5th, 1997. (Yes, team Aries!) I shortly moved to Brooklyn, NY where I attended kindergarten before moving to Central Florida in July of 2003.
I am an extremely family-oriented, fun-loving, energetic soul with an undying passion for shedding my light onto others. I work another full-time job as an educator at the very high school I attended growing up - assisting students with special needs. I am a musician and have also been singing since I was able to talk. I lead worship at Salty Church and am so thrilled to share my passions with those around me. My childhood years consisted of capturing every moment for my friends and family with my pink, Barbie webcam and my Nintendo DSI. (I know, throwback!) I found any way to make sure all moments were somehow captured forever.
I was eventually gifted a real camera in middle school and never left the house without it. During my adolescence and high school days, I was constantly teased and ridiculed for "taking too many pictures," but always felt in my heart as though all of the pictures would eventually come in handy.Naturally, we grow older, and the moments captured become distant memories. Our surroundings change and we are only left with mere images of what used to be.
I realized the importance of savoring special moments and decided to start a business in August of 2017 to save up for driving lessons because I never learned to drive. I eventually was able to save up enough money and began shooting small events, portraits, and couples. With the immense support of my clients, family, and friends, my business started to grow abundantly. After the pandemic of 2020, I began booking a couple weddings per year, engagements, maternity shoots, and all lifestyle photography.
I have learned and appreciated the realism and the importance of capturing a "moment" and a "feeling" before a posed smile, although posed pictures are sometimes necessary!
When I first started photography, I was always afraid of not succeeding. I always had it in the back of my mind that these moments have to be picture-perfect and that so many people will remember them forever. Lots of pressure! Although that statement is true, I am fortunately blessed with a heart that also captures all of the candid moments you can feel in your soul as well as the posed moments. For that reason, I know I was born to do this line of work. I have been taking off-guard shots of my own family and friends for as long as I can remember, so getting the privilege to photograph all of the “behind-the-scenes” moments as well as the posed ones is truly such a gift in itself.
I’ve always been one to see a different type of “beauty” in people. Whether it’s the sparkle in their eye when they laugh a certain way, the way their smile forms, the way they light up when they interact with others, etc. I can wholeheartedly say that my pictures portray every ounce of that same physical expression and emotion. It’s one thing to stand in front of a camera and smile, and another thing to capture the essential pure radiance of the moment.
I am not only eternally grateful for all of these wonderful opportunities; I am thankful that the world gets to see people and all of these photographs through my eyes because I know the type of person I am and aspire to be. I am someone who has undeniable passion for happiness, raw moments, and unconditional love for those around me.
I love and appreciate every single moment while shooting and guarantee that my passion will shine within each and every one of my images. I have never once felt as though photography is "work" for me because I simply enjoy it with every ounce of my being. I am so blessed and thankful for each and every opportunity and would love the chance to meet and work with you!
